Terms of sale
What applies when you buy from the store. Plain terms, no surprises. Last updated 6 October 2026.
Who you are buying from

These terms cover orders placed through the store on racking.ie. Installations, surveys and anything quoted by email or on the phone are covered by the quotation we send you.
Prices and VAT
Store prices are shown inc VAT at 23%, with the ex-VAT price under each. Delivery is charged at checkout and carries VAT at 23%. The price you pay is the price shown at the moment you pay; if we find a pricing error before dispatch we will tell you and you can cancel for a full refund.
Ordering and payment
Payment is taken at checkout by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay through Stripe. Your order is accepted when we email you an order number. A VAT invoice is emailed to you when payment goes through. We can decline an order where stock has run out or the delivery address is outside the area we serve, and we refund in full if we do.
Delivery and collection
Collection from our Leixlip warehouse is free, Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm; we ring you when the order is ready. Delivery goes anywhere in the Republic of Ireland at one charge per order: €40 ex VAT to Dublin, Kildare and Wicklow, €110 ex VAT to Cork, Kerry and Donegal, and €100 ex VAT to every other county. It is made kerbside by pallet truck and we ring to arrange a day. Deliveries to Northern Ireland and Great Britain are quoted. The full delivery policy, including site access and what the driver can and cannot do, forms part of these terms. Risk in the goods passes to you when they are delivered or collected; ownership passes when we have been paid in full.
Returns
Our returns policy applies: tell us within 10 days, goods back to Leixlip in a resalable condition, a 15% restocking charge, refund within 10 days of receipt. Made-to-order items cannot be returned unless faulty.
If you are buying as a consumer rather than for a business, you also have the right under the Consumer Rights Act 2022 to cancel within 14 days of delivery without giving a reason, and to a refund within 14 days of our receiving the goods back; you pay the cost of returning them. The restocking charge does not apply to a consumer cancellation.
Damage and faults
Tell us about damage on delivery within 48 hours, with photos, and we replace the damaged items. Goods must be of merchantable quality, fit for purpose and as described; if they are not, your statutory remedies of repair, replacement or refund apply. Nothing in these terms limits those rights.
Using the goods safely
Racking and shelving must be assembled, anchored and loaded in accordance with the instructions and the stated load ratings, which are for uniformly distributed loads. Pallet racking should be installed by competent persons and inspected regularly, as EN 15635 requires; we offer installation and inspection as separate services. We are not responsible for loss or damage caused by overloading, incorrect assembly, or use the product was not designed for. Our liability to you is limited to the price of the goods, except for liability we cannot exclude by law.
Law
These terms are governed by Irish law and the Irish courts have jurisdiction. If any part of them is found not to apply, the rest still does.
